My name is George and I am Creative Director at Interior Design Geek Studio.
I love a design challenge and am geeky about the details - some might say, a little obsessive. I believe beautiful interior design can be accessible to everyone irrespective of project scale, timeline or budget.
With over 20 years as an interior designer, I have extensive experience in both commercial and domestic projects. I have lead major design & renovation projects for bars, bistros and theatres in The West End of London and on Broadway in New York. I also work with private clients on residential projects, ranging from individual room schemes to complete house transformations.
I believe in collaboration and adaptability to create impactful design schemes and am driven by one purpose: to solve my clients toughest briefs beautifully, and practically.
Prior to launching Interior Design Geek I was Head of Interiors at Kent & London in Shoreditch. During my time there, I worked with the MD to introduce and build the interior design function of the company. Working on a range of high end residential projects from full house renovations, to bespoke kitchen installations and bathroom designs. I built the project management team to bring these projects to life and was key client liaison for all aspects relating to interior design, from concept design and detailed design to procurement.
Earlier on in my career I spent almost 8 years as Head of Interiors for Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG). In this role, I was responsible for the creative direction, design and project management of interior restorations and redevelopments across the portfolio of properties including over 25 cocktail bars, the creation and roll out of a new VIP concept 'The Ambassador Lounge' and the historic relaunch of the Hudson Theatre on Broadway.

Many clients already have strong ideas of what they are looking for but need help bringing these to life. You can use my Design Surgery for a quick consultation or sounding board to explore your project and get instant design support, buying advice or a second opinion.
At a time convenient to you, we will have a 60 minute video call to discuss your ideas and get your project started. We can plan follow-up sessions further down the line if you need them.

We work in full collaboration with our clients from start to finish:
Your project begins with an initial consultation or site visit to fully understand your vision, get a sense of your personal style & taste, your lifestyle or commercial needs and practical expectations. This first meeting defines the overall brief.
We then create a project proposal for you with an estimate of how long we think it will take to bring your vision to life. This proposal will include design, procurement and project management fees. All upfront costs are fully transparent and approved by you, before work commences.
We stay involved in the delivery of your project, collaborating with your tradespeople and supporting you every step of the way, ensuring the design scheme is fully delivered and it has been a happy experience all round.
George has been fantastic with his advice and design for our new home and outdoor space. I have a strong sense of what I like, but was overwhelmed by the scale and decisions of this project. George really took the time to understand our aesthetic and how we live, and came back with suggestions that simultaneously captured the essence of the brief while still managing to surprise us. His use of digital mood boards and video collaboration meant that we could iterate fast, but he also knows the critical moments where face-to-face matters most.
